Evaluations

Our Children First offers home and center-based evaluations through the Early Intervention Program (EIP) for children from birth to 3 years old and the Committee on Preschool Special Education program (CPSE) from ages 3 to 5 years old. Both programs are funded and regulated by the New York State Department of Health (DOH) and New York State Department of Education (DOE) and are at no cost to the family.

Our qualified team of evaluators conducts monolingual and bilingual evaluations in a variety of languages providing interpretation to families as needed. Our evaluation coordinators work closely with families to help children transitioning from the EIP to CPSE program ensuring evaluations are conducted in a timely fashion to secure an individualized education plan (IEP) based on the child’s eligibility.
