At Our Children First (“OCF”), we offer bilingual (Spanish) and monolingual therapeutic intervention. We are an approved New York State contractor providing the following early intervention services:



Our Children First offers comprehensive assessment for speech, language, swallowing and feeding disorders.

Therapy is offered for speech issues (speech sound disorders, fluency, voice), oral motor skills, language, communication, social interaction, cognitive communication (memory, organizational skills, problem solving) and dysphagia (feeding and swallowing disorders). Session times and goals are individualized to meet the needs of the child and family. Services are available in all five boroughs. A referral from the New York Early Intervention program, Department of Education, or your primary physician is necessary. If your child is found eligible for services, therapy sessions can take place either at our clinic, in home or in a variety of community settings. Our Children First’s therapists have a strong background in speech therapy starting with the founder and C.E.O of Our Children First, Carla Y. Tellez, who has over 20 years of experience in the field.

Our Children First offers comprehensive assessment, treatment and consultation in an interdisciplinary environment.

Our Children First Occupational Therapists have the training and knowledge to treat mobility, fine motor, gross motor, feeding, self-regulation, sensory and social issues. Our Children First Occupational Therapists are available in all five boroughs. A referral from the New York Early Intervention program, Department of Education, or your primary physician is necessary. If your child is found eligible for services, therapy sessions can take place either at our clinic, in home or in a variety of community settings. Services are delivered by highly qualified Occupational therapists who are registered, licensed and have a strong background in Occupational Therapy including many years of experience in the field.

Our Children First’s Behavior Therapists use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) to assist children and youth in developing skills in the areas of: communication, expressive language,

receptive language, imitation, social skills, play skills, joint attention, self-help skills, personal independence, fine motor skills, gross motor skills, and behavior. Behavior Therapists incorporate the child’s motivation and interests to build new skills and address challenging behaviors. Our Children First Behavior Analysts are available in all five boroughs. A referral from the New York Early Intervention program, Department of Education, or your primary physician is necessary. If your child is found eligible for services, therapy sessions can take place either at our clinic, in home or in a variety of community settings.
